The Butterfly Foundation was appointed by the Australian Government Department of Health to coordinate the activities of the NEDC. The Butterfly Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation that is committed to raising awareness and supporting people with eating disorders.
NEDC publications and resources are based on current research evidence and the experience of clinicians, people with eating disorders and their families.
Our projects translate this evidence into resources and standards to help governments and services take action to prevent and manage eating disorders.
The NEDC is led by a Steering Committee, representing expertise in eating disorders research, prevention, treatment and the lived experience.
We collaborate on all our projects, involving experts from our membership group and from external stakeholder groups in consultation, resource development and review.
