Working With People Affected by Eating Disorders in the Inpatient Setting - QuEDS

About this event

This workshop, presented by experienced eating disorder clinicians & recovered speakers will provide an update on eating disorders, key medical and psychological treatment concepts, and evidence-based strategies including: 

 Improving outcomes for patients whilst in hospital
 Engaging the patient and enhancing motivation for change
 Maintaining safety, consistency and effectiveness in teams
 Using resources to guide treatment including refeeding risk, nutritional rehabilitation, nursing management, discharge planning and working with families.

 

Open to nurses, allied health staff and medical officers who work in the inpatient setting and would like more information on how to work with patients affected by eating disorders. Workshop is suitable for a range of professionals with varying degrees of experience.
Cost: FREE including materials. Please bring your own lunch and morning tea as there are limited options nearby.
Participation in this professional development activity may contribute to CPD requirements for the purposes of registration and/or professional association membership. Please refer to the specific CPD requirements of your registration board and/or professional association to confirm. A Statement of Attendance will be issued to you for collection at the workshop.
