About this event

Skills to help your loved one through recovery of an eating disorder:
6 consecutive Wednesday evenings 9 May – 13 June 2018, 6 – 8pm AEST

Caring for a person with an eating disorder is a long-term and skilled commitment. Yet families are often expected to provide care without any training or support.

In this six-week workshop, facilitated by qualified counsellors, you’ll develop practical skills to support your loved one with an eating disorder in their progress towards recovery - all in the comfort of your home.

Why attend?
This evidence-led workshop, based on Janet Treasure’s book Skills-Based Caring for a Loved One with an Eating Disorder, will help you:

- Understand and adapt your caring style
- Connect with others going through similar experiences
- Learn about helping to motivate change
- Develop new communication skills
- Manage difficult behavior
- Understand what might be happening for your loved one.
