The National Eating Disorders Collaboration is delighted to be presenting at the South Western Sydney Primary Health Network Youth Severe Mental Illness Forum 2018. SWSPHN invites service providers, educators, carers and consumers to the Mercure Liverpool, on Tuesday 12 June, 8.30am-4.30pm, where attendees have the opportunity to: • Build capacity to support young people living with severe mental illness • Learn about youth severe mental illness and services available in South Western Sydney • Have the opportunity to collaborate and network within the Mental Health Sector Featuring as the Key Speaker at the SWSPHN’s Youth Severe Mental Illness Forum will be Dr. Michael Carr-Gregg, one of Australia’s foremost adolescent and child psychologists. His work includes private practice, consultancy and publications and he has a large media presence. He founded CanTeen more than 30 years ago and his messages are potentially life changing. Other presentations include: Consumer perspective from a young person living with severe mental illness Concurrent session 1: • Credentialed Mental Health Nurse Service – Case studies that demonstrate evidence based and best practice approaches whilst working with young people experiencing severe mental illness • Infant, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (ICAMHS) SWSLHD - Drug induced psychosis in young people Concurrent session 2: • Lifeline Macarthur – Suicide prevention strategies for working with young people • National Eating Disorder Collaboration – Eating disorders in young people Wellways – Ground-breaking new program for people with severe mental illness ‘Connect for Wellness’ – The benefit of peer work for young people with complex mental health needs Natalie Healey - Self Care for Professionals working in the Youth Severe Mental Health Sector For more information and to register, contact South Western Sydney PHN on Email: enquiries@swsphn.com.au or Call 4632 3000.
