Working with people affected by Eating Disorders in the Inpatient Setting

About this event

Nurses, allied health staff and medical officers who work in the inpatient setting are invited to attend this FREE workshop on how to work with patients affected by eating disorders.

This workshop, presented by experienced eating disorder clinicians will provide an update on eating disorders, key medical and psychological treatment concepts, and evidence-based strategies including:

  • Improving outcomes for patients whilst in hospital

  • Engaging the patient and enhancing motivation for change

  • Maintaining safety, consistency and effectiveness in teams 

  • Using resources to guide treatment including refeeding risk, nutritional rehabilitation, nursing management, discharge planning and working with families.

FREE including materials, registration is essential - Please bring your own morning tea and lunch as there are limited options nearby

Note this is suitable for a range of professionals with varying degrees of experience.
