Womens Health & Family Services, Body Esteem Program
The Body Esteem Program (BEP) utilises lived experience to provide holistic, person-centred programs that support women who experience eating disorders, and their families. Main services include peer facilitated 20-week groups for women (18+) who experience Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder and atypical eating disorders. There is also a one-day Parent/Partner Education and Support (PESP) workshop available for family members who have a loved one with an eating disorder, as well as community education workshops (by request). All services offered aim to increase awareness and understanding about the complexities of an eating disorder to minimise stigma, reduce isolation and instil hope.
Groups are run centrally from 227 Newcastle Street, Northbridge
