Paediatric Dietetic Clinic
FMC Paediatric Dietetics clinic offers public services for children who need nutritional assessment and counselling. Areas covered include Failure To Thrive, Home Enteral Nutrition service, diabetes, food allergy and eating disorders. Services not provided include obesity/overweight, and Paediatric general diet advice/fussy eater. Paediatric Dietetic clinics appointments are generally made to coincide with medical appointments where possible. Some clinics are run in conjunction with other health care providers. Outpatient services are provided either as face to face or phone consult. All appointments will be triaged based on the capacity of the Dietetic & Nutrition service and the nature of the condition. Referrals for weight management, fussy eating, general nutrition counselling will be triaged and referred to community based dietetic services.
Paediatric Psychiatry Clinic
FMC Paediatric Psychiatry Clinic offers public services and assesses behavioural, emotional and developmental difficulties in children. Conditions assessed include:
- childhood depression
- adolescent eating disorders
- attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder
- autism spectrum conditions
