Multi-Disciplinary Youth and Family Eating and Exercise Disorders Service (MYFEEDS)

Early assessment and treatment of Eating disorders on both inpatient and outpatient models.

The MYFEEDS(NT) is a joint program run by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (North) and the Paediatric and Allied Health Services of the Launceston General Hospital, Tasmanian Health Organisation — North. It provides an integrated inpatient and outpatient service for young people under 18 years of age and their families who are experiencing issues with Eating and Exercise Disorders.

The MYFEEDS team consists of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Workers, Paediatricians, Nurses, Dietitians and Physiotherapists. The young person’s GP and any other private health practitioners involved in their care are also invited to be part of the ongoing treatment.
