Eating Disorders Day Program for Adolescents and Young Adults

The purpose of the program is to provide intensive treatment over a short period of time helping the individual get back on track, challenge unhelpful thinking and eating disorder behaviours, and improving health and functioning. The eight (8) week Eating Disorder Day Program (DP) is appropriate when the individual does not require inpatient care, but needs more intensive support than offered by usual outpatient treatment. The DP may also be able to facilitate earlier discharge from inpatient care as a step down option. The 8-week program runs Monday to Friday each week (apart from Public Holidays) an individual will attend in a step down fashion (e.g. progressing from attending 5 days a week to 1 day a week).
