The Embrace Kids Classroom Program is an evidence-based, developmentally appropriate resource designed for teachers to pick up and implement without the need for additional training. Aligned to the Australian Curriculum, Health and Physical Education, and appropriate for school Wellbeing programming these evidence-informed resources are available for Year 5 & 6 students in Primary, and Year 7 & 8 students in Secondary schools.

The intention was to make this modular program as easy as possible for schools to embed in their programming and for teachers to deliver, by delivering content through short video pieces, containing pieces from the Embrace Kids film, and other educational content. Initial research indicates that the program is effective in improving self-compassion among children in Year 5 and 6.

This program includes:

  • An extensive Teacher Guidebook
  • 5 lesson plans
  • 5 Short videos to start each lesson
  • Google Slides to deliver each lesson
  • Worksheets for students

The Embrace Kids Teacher Masterclass, coming soon in 2024, is a short video presentation that aims to update all teachers in relation to how to speak about bodies, food, and health in ways that are safe and supportive for all students. Perfect for a quick 20 minute refresher, or to be played in staff meetings to update all staff, this Masterclass, featuring Dr Zali Yager, parent advocate Kylie Burton, and The Embrace Collective Youth Crew is engaging, entertaining, and educative for all teachers in primary and secondary schools and across all key learning areas.
