Body Blocks by Embrace Kids draws on evidence-based practices and expert input to empower early childhood educators to address the unique needs of children aged 0 to 8. The program was developed by paediatric dietitian Dr Lyza Norton, and a team of body image experts based on the latest research, including the research that informed the Confident Body, Confident Child program led by Dr Laura Hart from The University of Melbourne.

The Body Blocks digital portal has the following resources for preschools, child care centres, and primary schools:

·       Educator modules - 7 short videos, under 5 minutes each, with practical advice and information for educators to take straight back on to the floor and implement. Hosted by Amelia Mosely, from Behind the News, these modules are colourful, engaging, and fun.

·       A video reading of the Embrace Your Body picture book by Taryn Brumfitt

·       A recording of the “Embrace Your Body” song by Pevan and Sarah feat. Taryn Brumfitt

The Embrace Kids Australia initiative has received support from the Australian Government to make the program freely available to a select number of early childhood centres in 2024.
