EDV's Carer Coaching Program is an 8-week online program designed for carers of young people (<19) recently diagnosed with a restrictive eating disorder. Conducted via Zoom, the program provides peer support, education, and guidance to enhance carers' knowledge, understanding, and skills in supporting their loved ones' recovery.

Led by trained Carer Coaches with lived experience, the program offers weekly 60-minute sessions tailored to individual carer needs. Sessions cover topics such as eating disorder education, basic meal support strategies (not dietary advice), emotional management, setting healthy boundaries, and self-care for carers.

Key features include:

·       Peer-based support

·       Education on eating disorders, treatment, and recovery, with follow-up resources

·       Practical strategies for meal support, emotional management, boundary-setting, and self-care

·       Linkage to appropriate support and resources

While the program follows a structured format, content is personalised to address the unique needs of participants.
