Peer Mentoring involves individuals with eating disorders receiving support from those who have firsthand experience with recovery. It's a mutually beneficial relationship that fosters growth through shared experiences, distinct from friendship or therapy but filling a unique role between the two.

The Peer Mentoring Program offers free one-on-one mentoring with a recovered individual from Eating Disorders Victoria. Over 13 fortnightly sessions, participants work with a mentor to develop a recovery-focused Mentoring Journal and achieve goals such as community engagement and self-care.

Sessions occur over six months, either online, in the community, or at EDV. They involve various activities focusing on strengths, practical support, and skill development. The program aims to complement clinical treatment for sustained recovery outcomes.
