About this event
With eating disorder experience spanning six decades, Dr June Alexander will be presenting a collaborative event discussing topics directed from the audience. These could be journaling in ED recovery, June’s lived experience journey, questions about her books on eating disorders, advocacy and mentoring work.
June is the founder of The Diary Healer and has written nine books about eating disorders. She combines her writing expertise with the life experience of recovering from long term anorexia nervosa, trauma and other comorbidities.
June is on the NEDC Steering Committee, and a foundation steering committee member of the annual World Eating Disorders Action Day. She is a member of the Australian Society of Authors (ASA), Writers Victoria, Academy for Eating Disorders (AED), Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) and is an advisory panel member for Families Empowered and Supporting Treatment of Eating Disorders (F.E.A.S.T.)
