About this event

This workshop, presented by experienced eating disorder clinicians and recovered speakers, will provide an update on eating disorders, key medical and psychological treatment concepts, and evidence-based strategies including:

  • Improving outcomes for patients while in hospital
  • Engaging the patient and enhancing motivation for change
  • Maintaining safety, consistency and effectiveness in teams
  • Using resources to guide treatment including refeeding risk, nutritional rehabilitation, nursing management, discharge planning and working with families.

Open to nurses, allied health staff and medical officers who work with patients affected by eating disorders would like more information. This workshop is suitable for a range of professionals with varying degrees of experience.

Cost: FREE including materials.

Participation in this professional development activity may contribute to CPD requirements for the purposes of registration and/or professional association membership. Please refer to the specific CPD requirements of your registration board and/or professional association to confirm.
