Masterclass for Dietitians
This collaborative workshop will include information on:
- Increasing the dietitian’s working knowledge and skills in evidence informed dietetic care for inidivudals living with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
- Assessment and understanding of ARFID and considerations through a responsive lens
Treatment across age groups and scope for dietitians - Approaches and considerations: Family-based Treatment – ARFID, CBT-AR, Responsive Feeding Therapy (RFT) and using sensory-based approaches with complex case presentations
The workshop will also review factors that contribute or maintain food selectivity as well as various components or modifications that can be added to behavioral interventions to increase their effectiveness for working with neurodiverse clients such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Education provided at this masterclass builds on the ANZAED dietetics practice standards. It is suitable for dietitians across all care settings and fosters development of existing eating disorders knowledge with more advanced practice skills. Through the day attendees will be provided with didactic, interactive and experiential practice opportunities.

Cost: $75.00 plus GST (NIL cost NMHS staff) – face-to-face only (Note: this is subject to the prevailing Covid restrictions closer to the event and it may be changed to be delivered via Telehealth)
