Dr Shelly Hindle-Sinclair presents 12 hours of live online training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) for Eating Disorders
TITLE: DBT for Eating Disorders: Who, How, Why & When?
Dates: 26 Mar 2024 - 27 Mar 2024
TIME: 9:30am - 50:00pm AEDT
TRAINING SUMMARY: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy is a multi-modal, team-based approach that has strong evidence for the treatment of problems relating to emotion regulation. It has shown to be efficacious for people with complex, high risk and difficult to treat problems. Initial clinical trials showed efficacy for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder and DBT has since been applied to many other clinical presentations.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
• Understand how Dialectical Behaviour Therapy is applied for multi-problem, high risk Eating Disorders.
• Identify who DBT may be useful for and understand the theoretical rationale for this.
• Learn practical strategies drawn from DBT (relating both to individual treatment and skills training group) and how these are applied for Eating Disorders.
