Training information:

 ANZAED Eating Disorder Credentialled training for introduction to eating disorders and evidence-informed
dietetic practice. This two-day workshop will provide an overview of evidence-informed dietetic treatment for people with
eating disorders across the lifespan. Content is based on current management guidelines, published literature, clinical consensus, consumer
input, and will be delivered by experienced clinicians.

• This course is only suitable for Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APD) or eligible for APD status.
• This course is offered FREE of charge.
• Registration will be closed 2weeks prior to training to allow administration.
• Please ensure you have line manager's approval and availability to attend before enrolling.
• Please see below for requirements to receive a certificate of completion (required for ANZAED
Eating Disorder Credentialling).
• This training will NOT be recorded and is only available in real time via the TEAMS meeting.
• Use of AI transcription devices is NOT acceptable.

Learning Objectives:

• Ability to conduct an eating disorder specific nutritional assessment of children and adults.
• Understanding of the stepped system of care for people with eating disorder.
• Knowledge of current dietetic and clinical practices and standards.
• Ability to conduct nutritional diagnoses and implement nutritional intervention, with consideration of
medical complexities and diverse client groups.
• Ability to provide flexible, collaborative, client-focused care adapted to suit the client’s needs and concurrent
evidence-based psychological therapy.
• Build empathy, understanding and ability to engage people with eating disorders, and their loved ones.
• Build understanding of referral processes which address the client’s physical, psychological, and nutritional
needs.
• Ability to both recognise warning signs and act to mitigate increased risk
Demonstrate knowledge of ANZAED clinical practice and training standards for dietitians.

ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential Requirements (CEDC-D)

This course has been approved to align with the NEDC Core Competencies and the ANZAED Practice & Training
Standards for Dietitians Providing Eating Disorder Treatment. https://doi.org/10.1186/s40337-020-00334-z.
For dietitians who wish to pursue ANZAED Eating Disorder Credentialing: this training is NEDC / ANZAED approved
for both introduction to eating disorders and evidence-informed dietetic practice and meets the requirements for
ANZAED Eating Disorder Credentialing IF all additional requirements listed below are met.

To receive a certificate of completion for use as evidence to apply for the ANZAED ED credential (ANZAED NEDC
Credentialing | ANZAED) CEDC-D, you will need to meet the following requirements:

✓ Online pre-learning is required: ‘Certificate of completion’ of this learning will need to be emailed prior
to the training to QuEDSDietitians@health.qld.gov.au with the subject “Pre-Learning for Dietetic
Training”.
✓ Preferred pre-learning option is Option 1 – free of charge – provides excellent overview of ED stepped
care landscape.
Option 1 Eating Disorder Core Skills: eLearning for Mental Health Professionals (nedc.com.au)
Option 2 ($280, ~18hrs) The Essentials: Training Clinicians in Eating Disorders
(insideoutinstitute.org.au)
✓ Attendance at this QuEDS workshop for entirety of both days of training – sign in and out at start
(8:00am) and end (4:30pm) of each day.
✓ Complete post survey (link will be provided at end of day 2) which will trigger certificate of completion.
✓ A ‘Certificate of Completion’ of this training can be used in your application for the ANZAED Eating
Disorder Credential. Attendees choosing not to complete pre-learning will receive a ‘Certificate of
Attendance’ which will not meet requirements to apply for CEDC-D.
✓ Application for ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential is to be completed by applicant and will NOT be
facilitated by QuEDS.
