This workshop, presented by experienced eating disorder clinicians & recovered speakers, provides an update on eating disorders, key medical and psychological treatment concepts, and evidence-based strategies including:
- Overview of common eating disorders as per DSM-5
- ED within different groups (eg. LGBTQIA+)
- Risk factors
- Utilising guidelines for community management
- Engaging the consumer & enhancing motivation for change
- Accessing QuEDS & other resources
Open to nurses, allied health staff and medical officers who work with patients affected by eating disorders & would like more information regardless of where they work. This workshop is suitable for a range of professionals with varying degrees of experience.
