Eating Disorder Core Skills: eLearning for Fertility Care Professionals is comprehensive foundational eating disorder training developed specifically for fertility care professionals including obstetricians, gynaecologists, mental health professionals, dietitians, nurses, naturopaths and herbalists.
The training will equip fertility care professionals with the knowledge and skills to identify and respond when a person is experiencing an eating disorder, understand shared care in the stepped system of care, and prevent and minimise harm for eating disorders in the context of fertility care.

Prevention
Prevention1.3 Health promotion organisations and eating disorder organisations to collaborate on approaches to health promotion that do not contribute to eating disorder risk.
Prevention 3.1 Eating disorder service development and lived experience organisations to partner with other sectors, industries, professional bodies and consumer groups to develop and disseminate training and supporting resources in eating disorder-safe principles for community, health and education professionals working with a diverse range of people and communities, and support their implementation.
Prevention 6.3 Health professional bodies across all disciplines to deliver continuing professional development activities on the impact of weight stigma, and how to reduce and remove it from professional practice.
Identification
Identification 1.2 Eating disorder and mental health organisations to continue to provide evidence-based information about eating disorder signs and symptoms and pathways to care, tailored to a range of audiences.
Identification 1.5 Organisational/service settings which interact with population groups at higher risk of eating disorders (e.g., LGBTQIA+ services, schools, sporting/performance organisations) to provide evidence-based information about eating disorders appropriate to the audience.
Identification 2.1 Health and mental health services to ensure staff are trained to identify eating disorders and have access to up-to-date local/regional and online treatment and support options.
Identification 2.2 Eating disorder service development and lived experience organisations to disseminate accessible online/face-to-face training, and evidence-based screening tools to support health and mental health professionals in identification.
Identification 3.5 Health services to screen for eating disorders among people with commonly co-occurring conditions, including in people presenting for bariatric surgery.
Initial Response
Initial Response 2.2 Health services to ensure staff are trained to provide an initial response according to their scope of practice and clinical role.
Workforce
Workforce 2.3 Health and mental health services to ensure sufficient eating disorder expertise for their team to meet the needs of people presenting with eating disorders.
