Professional development is a process of learning and training which can encompass knowledge and/or skill development. Professional development aims to keep you up to date with the most current evidence and research as well as to help develop new skills. NEDC aims to promote professional development opportunities to all people whether you are a health professional, researcher, someone experiencing or recovered from an eating disorder, a family member or support person. The professional development activities that you engage in can sit across a range of mediums and platforms and can include attending live training events, watching a pre-recorded webinar, completing self-paced online training, or listening to a podcast. Reading is also a great way to learn and you can find information on many topics through our Resources section.
