This foundational eLearning training comprehensively addresses the nature, identification, assessment and treatment of eating disorders. This training includes approximately 17.5 hours of learning, role-plays, and resources. This highly interactive online course includes expert videos, role-plays, interactive exercises and quizzes. There are 5 modules which will equip clinicians with an understanding of the central issues in the field and the skills required in each step of the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of clients, for both children and adults, across all major eating disorder diagnoses. This training program meets the requirements of the NEDC competency framework for clinicians training in eating disorders.

  • The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners: The RACGP understands that it is important to recognise education that GPs see as personally valuable to their education - GPs can self-direct activities that the QI&CPD Program have not accredited. This provides GPs with increased flexibility and choice, and acknowledges the value of a diverse range of educational activities to the GP on an individual basis. The RACGP supports all GPs in achieving their personal needs. Participation in unaccredited activities is entirely optional and, if chosen, GPs can self-record their attendance, via the online system. These activities are worth 2 points per hour. GPs can record an unlimited number of CPD Activity unaccredited activities, however, QI&CPD points are capped at 30 points per activity.

NEDC Approved Training

This training has been approved by NEDC as meeting the requirement of Introduction to Eating Disorders training as required for the ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential.
