Our research aims to address the following question: How do registered occupational therapists in Australia describe their role when working with adolescents and adults experiencing disordered eating/eating disorders within inpatient and/or outpatient settings? It is anticipated that findings from this study will provide insight into the unique contribution and approaches that occupational therapists can offer, including the distinction of occupation-focused approaches as opposed to medical models. This includes models, frameworks, assessments and intervention approaches that are unique to the profession.
