PTSD and CPTSD in Eating Disorders: Differentiating Prevalence and Treatment Implications

ANZAED

About this event

Presented by: Sinead Day and Mandy Goldstein Tuesday 29th April 2025 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm

This webinar is presented by the Trauma and Eating Disorders Special Interest group

Individuals with eating disorders commonly present with a history of exposure to traumatic events and continue to experience trauma-related symptoms. Understanding of trauma-related disorders has recently evolved with the introduction of complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) as a new diagnosis in the ICD-11. This webinar will present the key differences between PTSD and CPTSD, recent findings about differences in their prevalence among individuals with eating disorders, and implications for clinical practice.
