Supporting Trans and Gender Diverse Communities Experiencing Eating Disorders

Supporting Trans and Gender Diverse Communities Experiencing Eating Disorders

About this event

The ED sector has undergone an intersectional transformation over the past few years, toward centering the experiences and support needs of people with eating disorders of many cultures, faiths and genders. This online webinar session will explore the co-occurrence of eating disorders and gender diversity. We will cover the basics of understanding the experience of an eating disorder for a trans or gender diverse person, as well as practical clinical tools to address their eating disorder while also supporting them in affirming their gender.

With content developed by Twenty10 in collaboration with Kai Schweizer, this webinar is a perfect refresher for clinicians building their skills to work with our communities, or newer workers who may benefit from introductory, accessible training.

Audience

This webinar is for clinicians, health and mental health workers and social and community sector workers who are supporting trans and gender diverse people and people experiencing eating disorders.
