Eating Disorders Information and Support for Australians – Resource Review

About this resource

In recognition that body image and Eating Disorders are a pressing issue within the Australian community, the Commonwealth of Australia commissioned this report to be prepared by the Butterfly Foundation (“Butterfly”) on behalf of the National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC).

The NEDC is a collaboration of over 70 member organisations with a strong interest in Eating Disorders and body image, and Butterfly is the appointed lead agency of this collaboration. The Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing requested a review of resources on the health promotion and prevention, identification and early intervention, and treatment of Eating Disorders, as part of a strategy to identify the way forward for Eating Disorders prevention, treatment and management in Australia.
