The Editor-in-Chief, Senior Associate and Associate Editors of the International Journal of Eating Disorders are conducting a research study examining current practices and perspectives regarding patient and public involvement (PPI), including lived experience involved in eating disorder research.
We are inviting you to complete a brief anonymous online survey exploring:
- How PPI or lived-experience involvement is currently used in eating disorder research;
- Researchers’ views on the value and challenges of PPI; and
- Perspectives on journal requirements for PPI or lived-experience statements in health and mental health publications.
The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Participation is entirely voluntary, and no identifying information will be collected. Ethics approval has been obtained from the Flinders University Human Research Ethics Committee [Project Number 9472].
Participation is voluntary and if you decide to participate and later change your mind, you may, without any penalty, withdraw at any time without providing an explanation.
We would greatly value your insights, which will help inform future guidance for researchers, journals, and institutions seeking to support meaningful and transparent PPI in eating disorder research.
If you are willing to participate, the survey can be accessed here: https://qualtrics.flinders.edu.au/jfe/form/SV_cGTZHunCQKOUSxw
Thank you for considering this invitation. Please feel free to forward this email to other eating disorder researchers who may be interested in contributing.
