Sensory processing, eating disorders, and neurodivergent traits

About this study

Researchers at the University of New South Wales are investigating the influence of sensory processing on eating behaviours and attitudes. Sensory processing, such as sensitivity to taste or hunger, is involved in the way we interpret and respond to emotions, memory, learning, and goal-directed behaviours (i.e., eating, drinking). However, little is known about the specific connection between sensory processing and eating behaviours and attitudes.
