Mental Health First Aid Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation focused on mental health training and research. MHFA Australia develops, evaluates, and provides a variety of programs and courses, as well as developing Guidelines for specific mental health diagnoses. The Guidelines were produced using the Delphi method, systematic way of assessing the consensus of a panel of experts.

The Eating Disorders Mental Health First Aid Guidelines have been designed to help members of the public to provide first aid to someone who is developing or living with an eating disorder. The role of the individual providing first aid is to assist the person until appropriate professional help is received.
