The Holding Hope Guide and Workbooks support compassionate, collaborative and person-centred care for people experiencing longstanding eating disorders. This page brings together opportunities to learn about the Holding Hope framework, apply it in practice, connect with others working in this space, and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of the resources.
Implementation workshops and reflection sessions
The Holding Hope Implementation Workshops are interactive online sessions designed for individual clinicians and practitioners who directly support individuals with longstanding eating disorders. Workshops introduce key principles and practical tools from the Holding Hope Guide and Workbooks, with a focus on trauma-informed practice, shared decision-making, ethical reflection, collaborative care planning and adapting the framework to different service contexts.
Following each implementation workshop, participants are invited to attend a facilitated reflection session to share experiences of using Holding Hope in practice, discuss barriers and challenges to implementation, and identify opportunities, successes and emerging initiatives. Together, the workshops and reflection sessions support ongoing learning, strengthen confidence in applying the framework, and encourage practical problem-solving across different settings.

Community of practice
NEDC also supports the development and facilitation of a community of practice for people using or interested in implementing the Holding Hope resources. The community of practice will create opportunities for shared learning, peer connection and reflective discussion across services, disciplines and roles.
Through facilitated conversations, participants will be able to exchange insights, explore common challenges, share implementation strategies, and contribute to a growing network of practice focused on compassionate, ethical and coordinated care for people with longstanding eating disorders.

Evaluation of the Holding Hope resources
The Holding Hope Guide and Workbooks are currently being evaluated to better understand how they are being used, what is working well, and where further support may be needed. Feedback from people who have used, read or engaged with the resources will help inform future refinement, implementation support and training.
If you have engaged with the Holding Hope resources, we invite you to complete the evaluation survey.
