Navigating the new MBS Eating Disorder items - ANZAED Open Webinar

About this event

This webinar is open access and available for all to register.

Presenters: Dr Gabriella Heruc, Dr Randall Long and Dr Kiera Buchanan (details below)

The pioneering changes to MBS funding for eating disorder treatment have commenced, significantly improving access to treatment for the most severe and complex patients.
However, this also brings with it questions for many clinicians:

- Which patients are eligible?
- Can a patient also access a Mental Health Care Plan?
- How can waitlists be managed?
- What psychological treatment is allowed under the scheme?
- Can comorbidities be treated under the scheme?
- And more!

This webinar will provide clinicians with an overview of the MBS eating disorder pathway, patient eligibility, referral options and clinical management, with time for asking questions to our multidisciplinary panel. Procedural related questions may be referred to Medicare for a response.
