Autism and Eating Disorders

Autism and Eating Disorders

About this event

Eating Disorders Families Australia (EDFA) is hosting a national webinar presented by world renowned Clinical Psychologist Tony Attwood.

Did you know it’s estimated that one in four Anorexia Nervosa sufferers are believed to have Autism? Research suggests that autistic traits may not have been recognized or diagnosed prior to eating disorder treatment. Significantly, these heightened autistic traits are associated with poorer treatment outcomes, suggesting that treatment may need to be adapted for this population.

Join EDFA and Professor Tony Attwood for a very special webinar on the links between Anorexia and Autism. $40 for Members | $75 Non-Members & Clinicians Saturday 27th February, 11am – 1.30pm
