  • Eating Disorders – a brief overview of types, risk factors and warning signs
  • The role of body image, dieting and the media
  • Factors that can protect against the development of an eating disorder
  • The importance of early intervention
  • Being a positive role model
  • How to approach and support someone who is at risk of developing or experiencing an eating disorder
  • Referral options
  • The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS)and National Eating Disorder Collaboration (NEDC) position statement on disordered eating in high performance sport.

Suitable for coaches, instructors, team managers, management committee members, sports professionals, recreation officers, and anyone involved in community or professional sport at non-player level.
