About this event

A free Eating Disorders Explained workshop, tailored for fitness professionals

Are you a fitness professional working in Victoria? Are you interested in learning more about eating disorders? Would you like to know how best to support your clients and community with disordered eating who may be at risk of developing an eating disorder?

We can all play a role in eating disorder prevention and recovery, and believe that fitness professionals can have an influential impact on the wellbeing of their communities.

This 2-hour workshop delivered by EDV staff who also work in the fitness industry.

This webinar will cover:

  • A brief overview of the types of eating disorders
  • Risk factors and warning signs
  • How to provide early intervention
  • Recommended strategies for fitness professionals
  • Tips for improving body image
  • Eating disorder prevention
  • Referral options
  • Q&A
