Dr Ryan Kaplan presents 12 hrs of online training in Body Dysmorphic Disorder | Zoom, April 28 & 29 at 9am-4:30pm AEST

This two-day workshop, presented by one of Australia’s leading BDD experts, will provide participants with a deep dive into body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). BDD is defined as a preoccupation with a perceived defect in one's appearance. This workshop will bring you up to speed on correctly identifying, diagnosing, and assessing BDD. It will focus on the latest psychological treatment approaches and ideas for treatment of this very challenging clinical presentation, using case studies and practical exercises. 

Learning Outcomes

  • Learn how to correctly identify and diagnose BDD
  • Become familiar with evidence-based treatment approaches for working with clients with BDD
  • Be able to apply evidence-based treatment approaches for clients with BDD 

Pre-reading

Participants should familiarise themselves with the DSM-5 BDD criteria.

Successful completion of Inside Out Institute’s Eating Disorders Essentials Training (https://insideoutinstitute.org.au/resource-library/the-essentials-training-clinicians-in-eating-disorders) or equivalent is a minimum required prerequisite.
