QLD event: Working with People Affected by Eating Disorders in the Community Setting
About this event
This workshop, presented by experienced eating disorder clinicians and a recovered speaker, will provide an update on eating disorders, key medical and psychological treatment concepts, and evidence-based strategies including:
- How to access QuEDS and other community resources
- Understanding Eating Disorders
- The role of the principal support person/ case manager in recovery
- Engaging the patient and supports while enhancing motivation for change
- Maintaining safety, consistency and effectiveness in teams
- Utilising the State-Wide Guidelines
Open to nurses, allied health staff and medical staff who work with patients affected by eating disorders and would like more information. This workshop is suitable for a range of professionals with varying degrees of experience.
Cost: FREE including materials.
Participation in this professional development activity may contribute to CPD requirements for the purposes of registration and/or professional association membership. Please refer to the specific CPD requirements of your registration board and/or professional association to confirm. A Statement of Attendance will be issued to you for collection at the workshop.
