Satter Division of Responsibility in Feeding Training

Satter Division of Responsibility in Feeding Training

About this event

The primary aim of this workshop is to familiarise participants with the Satter Feeding Dynamics model (fdSatter) as well as the Satter Eating Competence model (ecSatter). fdSatter is implemented by the Satter Division of Responsibility sDOR. When parents feed according to the sDOR, they support children’s natural abilities with eating and allow them to grow up to be competent eaters. Childhood eating problems will be defined in a way that they can be solved using fdSatter.

The workshop will aim to:

  • Enhance knowledge and understanding of the Satter model of Feeding Dynamics and Satter Eating Competence model
  • Think about the how rather than the what and how much of feeding and eating
  • Identify how you might use the Satter models in your practice

The workshop is suitable for students and clinicians working in the area of family and childhood development, eating disorders and wellbeing and who are seeking to gain skills in the assessment and treatment of childhood eating problems and the prevention of eating disorders.
