Skills based caring for a loved one with an eating disorder

About this event

UK Lived Experience Carer Coach and Trainer Jenny Langley will present on the practical application and experience of the New Maudsley model of skills-based caring for a loved one with an eating disorder.

Since her son recovered from anorexia 15 years ago, Jenny Langley has campaigned to raise awareness of eating disorders and the impact on the whole family, and to provide practical help and support to families affected by eating disorders.

Jenny has worked closely with the Eating Disorder Research team of The Institute of Psychiatry for over 10 years, and is trained in the New Maudsley Model. She co-authored the New Maudsley Skills-Based Training Manual with Prof Janet Treasure and Gill Todd and wrote of her family’s experiences in the book Boys Get Anorexia Too.

The webinar will be followed by a Q&A session with Jenny and the audience.

For EDFA members only. Membership is $25. Membership gives access to monthly state-based strive carer support groups, twice monthly education sessions and more.
