Assessment and treatment of Eating Disorders: A comprehensive 3-day workshop

About this event

This interactive workshop is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to accurately assess and diagnose before effectively treating adults with an eating disorder. The workshop is suitable for those both with and without prior knowledge and/or experience working with eating disorders and/or delivering CBT-E. Day 1 is delivered online and provides a comprehensive summary of eating disorders including diagnosis and differential diagnoses; assessment and management of acute medical risk in outpatient settings; and the calculation and communication of expected body weight. Days 2 and 3 are delivered 1 week apart, in person, at CFIH HQ and provide comprehensive and interactive training in the delivery of CBT-E. Places are capped in order to ensure a quality and comprehensive experience for all participants.

NEDC Approved Training

Days 2 and 3 CBT-E training are approved by NEDC as meeting the requirements for an evidence-based treatment model.

Prerequisite Requirements

It is a pre-requisite that pre-readings provided prior to the training are completed.
