This workshop, presented by experienced eating disorder clinicians & recovered speakers, will provide an update on eating disorders, key medical and psychological treatment concepts, and evidence-based strategies including:

  • Overview of common eating disorders as per DSM-5
  • ED within different groups (eg. LGBTQIA+)
  • Risk factors
  • Utilising guidelines for inpatient management
  • Engaging the consumer & enhancing motivation for change
  • Accessing QuEDS & other resources


Open to nurses, allied health staff and medical officers who work with people affected by eating disorders & would like more information regardless of where they work. This workshop is suitable for a range of professionals with varying degrees of experience.
