Do you struggle with how to discuss bodies in a way that feels empowering, not harmful? Afraid of saying the wrong thing when talking about bodies? Do you find yourself unsure how to help clients in higher weight bodies without reinforcing harmful stereotypes? Then this is the workshop for you! This course will be highly interactive encouraging reflective skill and provide new tools to empower your practice and skills. A number of resources will e suggested for you and your clients to use ongoing. Understand and challenge weight bias Create safe, inclusive spaces Develop a nuanced approach to assessment Support clients in addressing the anger, grief, and frustration Engage with evidence-based treatment modalities with a weight-inclusive lens Improve skills to advocate for systemic change Build a weight-inclusive practice
