Fasting and Medication: Providing Culturally Sensitive Patient Care (Webinar)

Fasting and Medication: Providing Culturally Sensitive Patient Care (Webinar)

Centre for Culture, Equity & Health

About this event

In CEH's first lunchtime webinar for 2026, and coinciding with the first day of Ramadan, we will explore the management of medication during periods of religious fasting. You will learn what types of questions to ask patients to better understand how fasting may impact their treatment, and strategies for managing patient care during this time.

We will hear from Nesrudin Mohamed Salah, a dedicated refugee health nurse and emergency nurse at cohealth and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Nesrudin will share real examples and practical advice that you can apply immediately in your practice.
