ARFID Across the Lifespan: Applying Theory to Practice
ARFID Across the Lifespan: Applying Theory to Practice
CENTRE FOR EATING, WEIGHT & BODY IMAGE
About this event
This two-day training offers a practical, formulation-driven approach to understanding and working with ARFID across the lifespan. Grounded in current research, clinical experience, and insights from lived experience, the workshop will explore how feeding patterns develop and are maintained, and how clinicians can support individuals and families in ways that are neurodiversity-affirming, inclusive, and responsive to individual needs.
Participants will learn how to identify ARFID presentations, develop meaningful formulations, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to support safe, ethical, and effective care. Through case discussions, reflective exercises, and service-planning activities, clinicians will build confidence in translating theory into practice and creating supportive pathways for individuals and families navigating ARFID.
