About this event
This advanced half-day workshop supports mental health clinicians to build confidence and capability in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Building on foundational knowledge, the workshop focuses on perinatal-informed case formulation, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing eating disorders and body image concerns across the transition to parenthood.\r\n\r\nDrawing on Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E), attachment-informed principles, and current evidence, participants will explore practical strategies for addressing restrictive eating, binge eating, compensatory behaviours, body image distress, fear of weight gain, and concerns related to infant feeding and maternal identity. The workshop also addresses medical and nutritional risk, multidisciplinary collaboration, and adapting treatment to the unique physiological and psychosocial changes of the perinatal period.\r\n\r\nThrough case-based learning and practical application, participants will strengthen their ability to deliver compassionate, evidence-informed care to individuals and families affected by eating disorders during pregnancy and early parenthood.\r\n\r\nFor more information or to enrol in this course, please follow this link: https://www.perinatalprofessionalshub.com/training/cd788585-9a83-46b5-b9ff-9fb251926721\r\n
