Implementing Culturally-Affirmative Therapy for Eating Disorders and Complex Trauma
Implementing Culturally-Affirmative Therapy for Eating Disorders and Complex Trauma
About this event
Given a large proportion of eating disorder patients have experienced interpersonal trauma, more consistently incorporating trauma-informed approaches within eating disorder assessment and treatment is recommended. Prior trauma exposure can impact ED patients' experiences in navigating eating disorder treatment. This webinar aims to give practical guidelines to clinicians and researchers regarding how to approach ED care from a trauma-informed lens, including assessment and treatment considerations.
