About this event
TBT-S is an innovative, neurobiologically informed treatment for eating disorders that helps individuals and their support people understand how unique temperament traits and brain function contribute to eating disorder symptoms.
TBT-S bridges gaps in traditional eating disorder care by addressing genetic and neurobiological vulnerabilities, increasing client motivation, reducing symptom resistance, and providing inclusive strategies for involving support networks—improving treatment outcomes for adults.
Learning Objectives:
- How to communicate eating disorder neurobiology in treatment
- How to use temperament traits as therapeutic strengths, allowing for temperament informed treatment goals.
- How to engage support people (e.g., family, carers) in the recovery process in a client centred way.
- Hands-on practice with TBT-S strategies and tools
Location: Newcastle
Format:
Level 1: One-day online introduction (must be completed prior to Level 2)
Newcastle - October 24th, 2025.
Level 2: Three-day in-person intensive, focused on practical application.
Newcastle - December 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 2025.
