Learning Objectives for this workshop include the following Eating Disorder specific knowledge/skills:
- Ability to conduct an Eating Disorder specific nutritional assessment of children/adults
- Understanding of the stepped system of care for people with eating disorders 
- Knowledge of current dietetic and clinical practices and standards  
- Ability to conduct nutritional diagnoses and implement nutritional intervention, with consideration of medical complexities and diverse client groups
- Ability to provide flexible, collaborative, client-focused care adapted to suit the client’s needs and concurrent evidence-based psychological therapy
- Build empathy, understanding and ability to engage people with eating disorders, and their families/significant others/key supports
- Build understanding of referral processes which address the client’s physical, psychological, and nutritional needs
- Ability to both recognise warning signs and act to mitigate increased risk
- Demonstrate knowledge of ANZAED clinical practice and training standards for dietitians

Requirement

To receive a certificate of completion for use as evidence to apply for the ANZAED ED credential, online pre-learning is required: ‘Certificate of completion’ of pre-learning will need to be emailed prior to the training to QuEDSDietitians@health.qld.gov.au with the subject “Pre-Learning for Dietetic Training”.

  • The Essentials: Training Clinicians in Eating Disorders (insideoutinstitute.org.au)

Attendance at this QuEDS workshop for entirety of both days of training – a completion certificate will be provided to those participants who sign on, and sign off attendance sheets at start (8:00am) and end (4:30pm) of each day and complete the post training survey.
