The Role of Exercise Physiologists in Eating Disorder Support

The Role of Exercise Physiologists in Eating Disorder Support

Mental Health Professionals’ Network

About this event

Alanah & Hannah will be exploring how movement can be safely and effectively integrated into eating disorder support and the role of Accredited Exercise Physiologists in this space. This session introduces the Life-Enhancing Movement Framework (LEMF); a flexible, non-linear approach that blends trauma-informed, eating disorder-informed, neurodivergence-affirming, and size-inclusive principles with international best practice. Through a real-world case study, we’ll see how the LEMF can guide supportive, empowering, and values-aligned movement experiences, with practical guidance on referral pathways and collaborative care.
