If you or a loved one are experiencing an eating disorder, there are a range of treatment options available. To learn more about these options, click here. The type of service/s which best suit your needs will depend on a range of factors, including diagnosis, personal circumstances, and location. A health professional, such as your GP, can help you to determine the type of service which might be most appropriate for you.

NEDC’s Service Locator includes information about eating disorder-specific clinical services. It does not include information about individual practitioners. For information about individual practitioners, you can search the connect.ed directory for ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinicians, the Butterfly Foundation’s Referral Database, or InsideOut’s Treatment Services Database. For information about non-clinical supports, visit NEDC’s peer support and support groups page.

General (non-eating disorder-specific) clinical services (such as Community Mental Health Services/Area Mental Health Services) are not listed in NEDC’s Service Locator, but may also provide treatment for eating disorders. Contact your local Community Mental Health Service/Area Mental Health Service to find out more or speak with your GP about local options.

The services included in this database are not provided by NEDC. Inclusion of services in this database does not constitute an endorsement or clinical recommendation.
